How to Make 1999 Your Best Year
|
Moving On From "No"by Connie Dugan There are three top qualities for prospecting. Number one, is DESIRE. No matter what stumbling blocks you meet, or how many times you hear "No," always have your vision and dream to fall back on. Number two, is SELF-ESTEEM. What happens to your self-esteem when people continue to say "No?" You have to understand the statistics. Just know that if you prospect 15 people, you're probably going to get 14 "Nos" and one "Yes." That's reality. If you remember that, it's easier to maintain your self-esteem and feel good about the business. I'm adamant about asking my distributors to keep a chart and make notes about everyone they speak to about the products or the business ‹ and then follow up. The third quality, is HUMILITY. That's being teachable and if someone is continually getting "Nos," or they suspect their technique is not quite what it could be, get help. When you hire a coachor a mentor in this business to help you constantly critique your presentation, your statistics are going to get better and better. Success does come from repetition of the right things.
